“WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO BE ROLE MODELS FOR OTHER GAY FOLKS WHO WANTED TO PLAY SPORTS, BUT NEVER FELT GOOD ENOUGH OR STRONG ENOUGH. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO SHOW THE OTHER TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE THAT WE ARE AS GOOD AS THEY ARE. GOOD RUGBY PLAYERS. GOOD PARTIERS. GOOD SPORTS. GOOD MEN.”

-MARK BINGHAM

The Phoenix Storm Rugby Football Club Board of Directors is happy to announce that they have officially named Bo Swartz as Head Coach and Marcel Chisum as the Assistant Head Coach of the team. The Board also wants to thank Mr. Chisum for taking on the role of Interim head coach while the board made its determination.

Mr. Swartz is no stranger to rugby and has coached a variety of different teams over the years including the Camelback Rugby team. Mr. Swartz has also been assisting the Storm during the transition over the last few months along with Mr. Chisum. So they both already have a great working relationship and are tremendous assets to the Storm. Both are respected members of the rugby community and between the pair have years of rugby experience.
