“WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO BE ROLE MODELS FOR OTHER GAY FOLKS WHO WANTED TO PLAY SPORTS, BUT NEVER FELT GOOD ENOUGH OR STRONG ENOUGH. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO SHOW THE OTHER TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE THAT WE ARE AS GOOD AS THEY ARE. GOOD RUGBY PLAYERS. GOOD PARTIERS. GOOD SPORTS. GOOD MEN.”

-MARK BINGHAM

Dear rugby brothers,

We’d like to extend an invitation to take the pitch with the Phoenix Storm at the 2017 Arizona Rugby Festival.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, December 2nd at the Sports Complex in Scottsdale.

This year, the Phoenix Storm is in a rebuilding stage, our team this year is very young and new; what better way to introduce our rookie’s to the great rugby tradition of rugby and camaraderie than to take the pitch at the 2017 Arizona Rugby Festival with some of our LGBT rugby brothers. We are looking for players that can make the trip to Phoenix; we will provide accommodations to the first 15 that commit to playing with us. We have also taken care of the tournament registration fee; the only expense to interested players is their travel expense.

The phoenix Storm will also plan a night out in the city, so that all involved can get a taste of Phoenix’s night life.

If you, or your team would like to play with us in the tournament, please let us know.

With you in rugby,

The Phoenix Storm
